Opening Times

Currently, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak our surgery doors are closed - we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we need to protect all our patients and staff.  Staff are available to speak with over the telephone during the hours detailed below.

Bank Holiday Closures

The surgery will be closed on the following dates:-

Monday 28th December 2020 (in lieu of Boxing Day on the 26th)

Closure for Staff Training

Like all the practices in the area, Churchtown Medical Centre closes on one Wednesday afternoon per month for training; these are mainly in-house sessions and cover various issues including fire safety, resuscitation, customer service and clinical updates. This protected time also allows the practice to have multidisciplinary and staff meetings to discuss any problems or issues that have occurred during the previous month and any changes taking place in the future.

The practice will close at 12pm on the following Wednesdays:

When We Are Closed

GP Out of Hours Service - DIAL 111 

If you require urgent medical assistance outside of normal surgery hours between 6.30pm and 8.00am which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens please contact the NHS 111 service. The NHS 111 service is for when you urgently need medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation. You can find out more information about the NHS 111 service by clicking on this link. This information is also given in our recorded telephone message between the hours of 6.30pm and 8.00am, at weekends and Bank Holidays.

If you have a life threatening emergency you should dial 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
