 Ordering prescriptions - June 2017

Repeat Prescriptions

We require 48 working hours notice for the processing of repeat prescriptions. This is to allow the time to deal with any queries that may arise and to ensure safe systems of prescribing. We cannot guarantee that prescriptions requested urgently will be ready on the same day; however, we will always do our best in special circumstances.

As well as using the tear off portion of your previous prescription to re-order items you can now order repeat prescriptions through Patient On-Line Services.  Please go to "Patient On-Line Access" on this website and complete the form or ask a member of staff at the surgery.

Please note this service is to be used for re-ordering regular repeat items which you are prescribed and not for acute items. If you would like to request a medication which does not appear on the right hand side of your usual prescription then you will need to put your request in writing to the surgery.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
